Scoring method — the exact formulas
1 · Category values (each 0–100)
• Research = the VP-Research model score (the University's own published 2021–2026 model, used as delivered).
• Teaching = cohort percentile of the faculty member's all-years Blue average (2019–2026): the share of evaluated instructors with a lower average.
• Dean = percentile of the dean-assessment score within the same school only (computed only where the school has 5+ scored records; scales differ by school and are never compared across schools).
• Workload = cohort percentile of the activity index:
• Funding = 0 with no project in the IGPO ledger (a complete ledger, so absence is a verified zero); otherwise
2 · Sub-bands (1 / 2 / 3 per category)
Terciles of the cohort distribution per category (statistical quantiles, n=3). Funding uses a threshold policy instead: 1 = no project, 2 = any project, 3 = two or more projects or ≥ $50,000 allocated. Missing values carry no band.
3 · The final number
4 · Ranking and tiers
Ranked only at 3 of 4 evidence pillars. Competition ranking: tied final numbers share the same rank. Tiers: top and bottom ceil(20%) of the ranked pool; a score tied across a tier boundary goes to the more favorable tier, never split.
5 · Overrides
A conduct-review flag withholds the person from ranking and tiers entirely ("Referred") regardless of score. Categories issued without evidence are labeled, not scored.
6 · Status of the parameters
Equal weights are the working group's current instruction; the funding thresholds and all band boundaries are provisional pending the group's point values. A benchmark-derived per-track weight matrix (Research-intensive / Balanced / Teaching-focused / Clinical) exists in the restricted scoring framework for ratification. Rounding: percentiles are rounded to whole numbers and final numbers to one decimal before ranking; tied final numbers share a rank. Changing any parameter re-runs the whole instrument from source in one build.

credits + 3 × committees + 2 × supervision, from the signed form. Unparsed forms yield no value — never zero.• Funding = 0 with no project in the IGPO ledger (a complete ledger, so absence is a verified zero); otherwise
50 + holder-percentile ÷ 2, holders ordered by USEK-allocated amount then project count. Currency-flagged amounts are excluded (LBP converted at 89,000).2 · Sub-bands (1 / 2 / 3 per category)
Terciles of the cohort distribution per category (statistical quantiles, n=3). Funding uses a threshold policy instead: 1 = no project, 2 = any project, 3 = two or more projects or ≥ $50,000 allocated. Missing values carry no band.
3 · The final number
final = mean( measured evidence categories + funding ) — equal weights across whatever is measured, per the working group's decision. A missing category is excluded from the mean, never counted as zero. The toggle shows the same mean with and without the funding category.4 · Ranking and tiers
Ranked only at 3 of 4 evidence pillars. Competition ranking: tied final numbers share the same rank. Tiers: top and bottom ceil(20%) of the ranked pool; a score tied across a tier boundary goes to the more favorable tier, never split.

Categories carry EQUAL weight in the final number (working-group design), now including Funding Attraction from the IGPO ledger (added per the working group; banding provisional). Collaboration and Services parameters await their forms and are not yet scored. A benchmark-derived per-track weight matrix (Research-intensive / Balanced / Teaching-focused / Clinical) exists in the restricted scoring framework for the read-in group to ratify against the current equal-weight design. A final number is issued at 3 of 4 measurable pillars; below that the record is "insufficient evidence." Research categories without a score are "Not bibliometrically assessable" per the model's conditions of use. Dean scores compare within school only. Funding scoring note: any funded faculty member starts at 50/100 in that category and non-holders at 0 — a deliberate threshold policy awaiting working-group point values; the WITH/WITHOUT toggle shows its exact effect. Business and Law currently have no dean-assessment scores (Business file is an unscored template); their records rank on the remaining evidence. Within-school percentiles need N≥5. No compensation data; conduct excluded by design.
